An Urban Downtown Senior session
I photographed Emily’s sister, Kate, a few years ago at Knoxville Botanical Garden. I remember talking about Emily at Kate’s session, and their mom mentioned she would reach out to me in a couple years to take Emily’s senior photos. Gosh, time passes so fast because it’s been a couple years, and I’ve now photographed their sweet daughter Emily, too. Emily and Kate are very different in personalities. Mannerisms are similar, but her mom said it best when she said they are total opposites. Each of the girls picked out their location. Kate chose Knoxville Botanical Garden while Emily chose a downtown senior session. Their outfits were opposite, too. You know what they say about opposites though. They attract to one another, which explains why these sisters are so close. I loved hearing Emily’s side of being Kate’s sister. She admires her big sis so much, and I hope one day my girls admire each other this much! Both daughters have set high aspirations for life and their studies, and I have no doubt they will exceed all their goals. After Emily’s downtown senior session, I talked to Kaitlin with Kaitlin Grace Images (who solely focuses on senior photography) about how a lot of the seniors I’ve photographed recently have had HUGE academic and career goals. She agreed. It’s not just business degrees anymore. So many are shooting for nuclear engineering, PhDs, brain surgery, etc. I know there are so many negative things said about this next generation, but as far as I can tell, they are setting really high goals, working hard to achieve these goals, and are going to carry our society forward where it matters most.
Emily, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you, and I can’t wait to see where God takes you next!
