Castleton Farms Winter Engagment

Today, I counted how many times I am shooting at Castleton Farms this year. It is 10, you guys. TEN weddings at one venue is a crazy high amount. I have 28 weddings booked for 2021, and 1/3 of them are at the same place. I can’t tell you how crazy rare that is. In wedding seasons in the past, I would revisit the same venue 2-3 times max. Usually just once though. But here’s the thing with having the opportunity to go back to Castleton so many times. I will still make each and every wedding unique in and of itself because their grounds are just so gorgeous. No matter the season, no matter the weather, no matter the chosen location on the grounds. Every single direction is stunning, and there are endless options. I was there 11 times in 2020 between weddings and engagement sessions, and I can honestly say every single gallery has its own unique photo collection to it. This is not something I take lightly. This is something I really challenge myself to do. It would be so easy to just go back to the same gorgeous spots I shot before. I know they work, I know where to put the couple, and where I should stand for the best angle and lighting. But I choose not to do that because I don’t want all the Castleton couples out there to leave with the exact same gallery as the last Castleton couple. So, just like with all the engagement sessions in 2020, Michael and Erin’s Castleton Farms winter engagement session has its own uniqueness to it. It has been awhile since I’ve shot there in the winter, and I had so much fun with it.

These two are absolutely adorable. They have been long distance for awhile, but Erin is graduating soon and will join Michael in Alabama as they finish their last stretch of engagement. I am so honored they chose me as their wedding photographer. They are both in the medical field, and as little as my knowledge is about all things medicine, I love talking with medical professionals and picking their brains. I love hearing their take on COVID and opinions about healthcare. Although I could never do it in real life, it is so fascinating, and I so respect and am grateful for the whole group of medical staff that have kept everyone as safe as possible during this pandemic. Now, enough about that mumbo jumbo. Get to scrolling because you’re going to love these two at their Castleton Farms winter engagement😁!
