Three Families, Three First Years, and So Many Meaningful Milestones
One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is documenting a family’s story through each season of life. These three families have each trusted me to photograph their engagement photos, wedding days, newborn sessions, and baby’s first year milestones. Being invited back for so many meaningful moments is an incredible honor, and I never take that trust for granted.
There have been so many portrait sessions lately that I’m running out of days in the week to create a separate blog post for every family! This time, I’m trying something new and bringing these three families together in one post. Although each family has a unique story, they have something very special in common: they all chose a milestone photography package to document their baby’s first year.
My baby’s first year packages are completely customizable, allowing every family to choose the sessions that matter most to them. Available session options include maternity, fresh 48, newborn, three month, six month, nine month, and twelve month photos. Families can choose between 30 minute and one hour sessions, depending on the experience and variety they would like.
For newborn photography, families can also choose between a relaxed in-home session or a studio newborn session at the White Room. An in-home newborn session captures your family in the comfort of your own space, while the White Room offers a bright and timeless studio setting. Both options create beautiful photographs while allowing families to select the experience that feels most natural to them.
I love that no two baby’s first year packages have to look exactly the same. Some families want to document every stage, beginning with maternity photos and continuing through the first birthday. Others select a few favorite milestones, such as newborn, six-month, and twelve-month sessions. Families receive my complete package listing and can build a collection that works for their schedule, priorities, and vision.
Babies change so quickly during their first year. A sleepy newborn curled up in their parents’ arms soon becomes an alert three month old, a giggling six month old, a curious nine month old, and then a one year old with a personality all their own. Photographing these milestones allows me to preserve each stage before it passes.
It also gives me the opportunity to watch the entire family grow together. I get to see parents settle into their new roles, siblings build relationships, and babies discover the world around them. By the first birthday, we have created a meaningful collection of images that tells the complete story of the baby’s first year.
Each of these families is so near and dear to my heart. From engagement photos and wedding celebrations to newborn snuggles and first birthdays, I have loved documenting every chapter. I’m incredibly thankful that they continue to invite me into their lives and trust me with their most important memories.
Watching their children grow is one of the best parts of my job, and I’m so excited to share a glimpse into these three beautiful baby’s first year journeys!
