The thing I love most about the Gash family sessions isn’t the gorgeous photos we get or the perfect weather we always have (knock on wood for the next session). It’s not even the sweet, smiley babies. I love getting to catch up with them. This Knoxville Botanical Garden 6 month session was no different. We always have the sweetest conversations. They are such a joy to be around, and I imagine we would be the best of friends if we weren’t both in the thick of parenting young kids. I have photographed their family for years. I STILL look back at their wedding photos with heart eyes because they are just so gorgeous.
This past weekend, I had a wedding at The Quarry Venue. The bride’s mom started following me on social media when they booked a few months ago. As we sat in the getting ready suite, she told me how much she loves me. She started sharing how she has followed me on Instagram since Maiti booked with me. She’s watched as I have photographed my couples’ babies and anniversaries as their marriages have matured. She was sentimental thinking about how I could photograph her daughter’s baby in the future and put her hand to her chest as she closed her eyes to process that thought. I am always thankful for couples who ask me back into their lives after their wedding day and watching this sweet mama talk about it gave me a new appreciation for what an honor it is.
So, thank you, Caroline and Christian, for letting me take these Knoxville Botanical Garden 6 month photos of your sweet Cal. Thank you for asking me back time and time again. Thank you for always being so sweet and supportive and encouraging and loving the photos I give you each and every time. You are so precious, and you are so appreciated.
