The Baloga family is back at it again with some super fun pictures at the World’s Fair Park in Downtown Knoxville. You’ve seen this family time and time again on my blog. You’ve heard me go on and on about how fabulous they are, how all of their kids are amazing, and how Nick and Ashley were born to be parents because they are just killer at it. All of these things are so so so true, now more than ever as their littles get bigger and start molding into tiny adults. I can see that same character stand true in each of them, and it never ever ever stops inspiring me to be the parent to Grayson that these two are to their six. In a world of tablet screens and iPhones and entitlement and laziness, I know that it is possible to still raise our children with a sense of adventure, good work ethic, and strong imagination. I pray that I don’t fall into the trap of easy distractions consistently replacing me getting mud and grass stains with my boy outside. I pray that like JC and Isaac Baloga, Grayson will know how to embrace his boyness, get rough and rowdy and loud, but also know how to show respect and manners when needed. I love love love this family to my bones. We shot their session last week when it rained and rained and rained all. week. long. But that didn’t stop us. The drizzle came and went. We took shelter under the amphitheater to begin, and then, we just embraced it. If there was any place to shoot portraits during the rain, it’s the World’s Fair Park because there are so many covered areas that still allow you so much access to light. Anyway…I know I’m only 16 months into this whole parenting thing, but Ashley is a role model momma for me. She’s so humble and so sweet that I know when she’s reading this and probably shaking her head and whispering this girl is crazy. Regardless, I so admire this family and am so thankful for my friendship with them.
