Before this winter wedding at The Trillium, I had not yet met Elise or Giancarlo. We had a phone call, but they don’t live in Tennessee so we weren’t able to do an engagement session. My first interaction with Elise was when I walked into the bridal suite. She was immediately so warm and welcoming. As I began shooting her details, I could tell everyone in the room was the same way. Her mom, Giancarlo’s mom, the bridesmaids. Everyone was so friendly. Later, when I met Giancarlo, it was the same. This group of people were so easy to get acquainted with. That is sometimes why I try really hard to make engagement sessions work with out of town couples because getting to know one another before the wedding day helps so much in the smooth transition to photographing them on the wedding day. But at this winter wedding at The Trillium, it wasn’t necessary because after just a couple minutes of talking to them, I already felt like a dear friend.
Fast forward to finally getting to witness Giancarlo seeing Elise for the first time. They did not do a first look. Rather, they waited until the ceremony to see one another. So, it really wasn’t until after the family and wedding party pictures were done that I really got to see Elise and Giancarlo interact together. They are PRECIOUS. Seriously. They love each other in the most adoring manor, and it’s really stinking adorable. Even though Elise is not a fan of PDA, she did it anyway because Giancarlo needed no excuse to kiss his bride one more time for every photo/video clip we asked. I cannot get over how stunning their day was and how stunning they were. EEK! I’m so excited to show you more!
