WindRiver Wedding Day

Bride and groom holding hands at this WindRiver Wedding Day by Knoxville Wedding Photographer, Amanda May Photos.

This wasn’t my first WindRiver wedding day since becoming a Knoxville Wedding Photographer, but this was the first time I photographed this combination of ceremony and reception locations. The ceremony was on the hill right beside Citico’s Restaurant overlooking the GORGEOUS lake. The reception, however, was at a spot called Overlook Manor right at the beginning of the neighborhood. Overlook Manor is this AMAZING building with the most gorgeous patio that overlooks the golf course. Another perk of having the reception here vs. at the Citico house is that the house is in the background of their portraits. This gave a different look to their portraits, and duh…it was freaking gorgeous.

Gabby & Zach

What is there not to say about this couple? Other than the fact that they are straight up models, have been in love since middle school, and hosted one stunning wedding. They are also so kind. Both Gabby and Zach stopped me multiple times throughout the day to say thank you. They also checked on me multiple times (probably because I have a HUGE baby belly sticking out right now). Even though it was their wedding day, they were constantly thinking of their friends…their family…even their vendors.

You’ll see below the white vow books that Gabby & Zach used on their WindRiver wedding day. The pastor held them until it was time to exchange vows and then Zach went first while Gabby followed. The vows they exchanged were quite possibly the best vows I’ve ever heard. They touched on the important things, like committing to one another in every way for the rest of time, but they also threw in just a dash of humor mixed with some really sentimental things that left literally every single person in tears. Even some of the groomsmen.

There are a couple things that I would change about mine and Dustin’s wedding day. One of them being that I would have us write our own vows. I love personal vows that come from the heart, are intricately written, and are thought through by each other in the most intimate way. I love it when couples write their own vows. Meanwhile, while I’m crying behind my camera, a sweet sweet lady starts fanning me with her program. It was precious.
