I’m so excited to be sharing this Whitestone Country Inn engagement session with you! When I first started emailing with Alanna & Aaron, one of the first things that Alanna said to me was how she loved that I made my relationship with Jesus so transparent through my website. What she didn’t know was that just days prior I had been praying about that exact thing. My exact question was, “Am I even making a difference, Lord?” One of the things that I felt so strongly about when I first quit my safe accounting job to pursue photography full time was that the Lord had been trying to get me to do it for months, maybe even years, before I finally did. When I actually listened and took the terrifying leap, I got reassurance after reassurance that it was in fact what He was calling me to. He spent the first year of my full time photography business allowing me to grow enough that I could help sustain my family’s living expenses. In my second year, I started asking Him to open doors where I could serve Him more through my photography business. And He did. I was able to start capturing powerful Sundays at our church, volunteering with Hope Resource Center, and even documenting a couple of fundraisers for Salvation Army and Homes of Love. Now, going into my third year, I absolutely love volunteering for places like my church and Hope Resource Center. I plan to absolutely keep doing so, but I was asking the Lord if I was making a difference to the non-believers in our community. “Lord, how do I use this gift that you’ve so graciously given me to reach the lost?” And then Alanna came along. She is a believer, and the Lord used her in that moment to remind me that I am reaching non-believers and not necessarily JUST in my community. Every single time that someone comes to my website they will see, at the very least, a scripture in my logo, and if they dig around even just a little bit, they’ll start to see dialogue about my encounters and relationship with Jesus. I love it so much when I can see prayers answered so directly like that, and I also love it when He uses other people to answer them. When I get to tell another human that Jesus used them to answer a prayer I had been praying, it is so. cool. to see their reaction. I don’t think that Alanna has any idea of this story, and although I won’t be seeing her reaction in person, I am so excited to share this with her.
So, onto Alanna & Aaron’s Whitestone Country Inn engagement session. Complete with a gorgeous golden hour, two amazing horses, a view of the water like none other, and a sweet, totally in love couple!
