Whitestone Country Inn Bridal Portraits

Gosh, I am SO thankful that we did bridal portraits for Addi, and just as thankful that she chose to have Whitestone Country Inn bridal portraits done. So, on Addi & Marques’ wedding day, we got a little bit behind schedule. Like, almost an hour behind schedule (I have to add that this is SUPER normal though…it happens almost every weekend). Addi had 12 bridesmaids, and that just naturally takes a little bit longer to photograph. It takes longer to get everyone ready, to walk places, to set up a pose. It just takes longer. We were also trying to get as many family photos done before the ceremony as possible, and the family got there early just to do it. So, I made an executive decision that I didn’t have time to take Addi to some of the spots that I wanted to on the wedding day so that we would have more time with the bridesmaids and time to take family photos. You know why that was a-okay?? Because we did her bridal portraits just a month earlier in those spots I would have taken her! AAAAAANNNNDDDD during her bridal portraits the lighting was SO much better anyways! The thing about a wedding day is that you can plan plan plan until you’re blue in the face, but you still have to be as flexible as possible to roll with anything because you never know what’s going to throw the timeline off. Speaking of unforeseen things throwing off the timeline, I have a funny story that is completely unrelated to Addi’s Whitestone Country Inn bridal portraits. After couples have a Whitestone Country Inn ceremony, they are picked up in a horse-drawn carriage to take them around the property while their guests move from the ceremony to the reception. Well, Addi wanted me and the videographer to join them on this ride and snag a few photos as we went. It ended up taking about 10 minutes longer for this ride than normal because the horse was pregnant, and she kept having to take breaks. I don’t think she knew she was going to be pulling a 6’8 football player and two extra people in her carriage. I hope that made you smile because it sure made us smile. Who knew. The things that can happen literally have me laughing with tears sometimes!
