I had the privilege of photographing Jackson’s sister’s newborn photos a couple years ago. You can see those here! It was such a sweet session, and now I get to photograph baby Jackson’s newborn photos. It’s always so much fun to meet babies I shoot at birth after they’ve grown into toddlers. We started this White Room baby boy session off with just Kelly and Jackson. As I began shooting, Kelly told me about little Sophie’s personality. She keeps them on their toes, and like a Sour Patch kid, is sour one second then sweet the next. Luckily, she has a tell when she’s about to turn sour though. It’s a specific facial expression she does just before she does something ornery. I got to see it a couple times when we were taking family photos, and it’s so funny because she literally does it every time she’s plotting haha! Overall, however, she is an AMAZING big sister. My very favorite photos we got of the whole family were right at the end when dad was holding Jackson while mom leaned over his shoulder and Sophie came standing beside him hugging his head, kissing his cheek and hands, and just cuddling with him. It was one of those shots I couldn’t’ have planned for if I tried. It just unfolded, and I started clicking away!
I have now started photographing all of my studio newborn sessions at The White Room. Like this white room baby boy newborn session, it has amazing light, great posing options, and is usually pretty convenient for clients!
