Did you know there’s a new add-on with Amanda May Photos? I have recently starting offering coverage with a content creator as part of your wedding package! But what even is content creation?
Being a relatively new addition to the industry, content creation is like handing your best friend your phone and asking her to capture your wedding. It’s a raw, unfiltered perspective of the day. And the best part? All the content is delivered to you within 24 hours.
My main content creator is @content_by_dev, and she is quickly filling up her 2024 calendar! I started offering this as an add-on at the end of April and have already worked 4 weddings and 2 engagement sessions with her. The number one benefit to hiring my content creator is that I work with her to build the timeline, and we make sure to build enough time to make the TikToks/reels and take video without being in each other’s backgrounds.
Content creators are not meant to replace your videographer. It’s more raw than hiring a professional videographer. But if you know videography isn’t in your budget, it’s a great way to at least walk away with a little bit of video footage on your wedding day!
If you are interested in adding on a content creator to your day, go check her out on Instagram. If it seems like something you might love, shoot me an email. I can send her pricing to you!
I have loved having a content creator as part of my package. I think it has brought a whole other aspect to capturing the day that is so raw and real. As I was chatting with this bridesmaid, I realized how hard it would be to have a content creator on the wedding day that wasn’t with me. Not that it would be impossible, but when I build my timelines for the day, I budget a certain amount of time knowing I will need to get what I need, the videographer may need a smidge more time to do some specific thing he needs, then to add in another vendor like a content creator to get what she needs, too? That would be rough. When you book one through AMP, however, I work with her to build the timeline for all of us to get what we need. We also game plan before the wedding to know what exactly she’s going to need and when would be the best time to do it. I also help coordinate the posing. Together, we serve you in the best way possible.
If you decide to hire a content creator outside of your photographer, I would highly recommend asking them to join you and your videographer (if applicable) before the wedding day to design your timeline together. Because setting up for specific reels that you want from your content creator takes time, and if the photographer only budgets time for herself, the timeline is going to start to get behind, which becomes more stressful.
So, that was it. An epiphany I had chatting with a bridesmaid at a reception and thought to myself, I really need to get this out there!
