Volunteer Landing Engagement Session
The days leading up to Rocio and Edgar’s Volunteer Landing engagement session were sunny and warm and beautiful outside. I watched the radar as we got closer, and on this particular day it dropped down to the 40s and was super cloudy. Alaina, with Alaina René Photography is associate shooting this wedding for me so it made sense for her to shoot their engagement session, too. When she brought the cards back to me, she said, “Rocio was freezing, but she looked absolutely stunning.” She was so right. Rocio had to have been freezing, but it was so worth it in that beautiful red dress!
If you’re looking for a location for pictures in the winter, Volunteer Landing is a great spot. It has beautiful views of the Knoxville bridges, clean neutral pavement to brighten up your photos, water in the background, and docks to shoot on. You may never know it was winter just by looking at the photos! It’s a great twist to the traditional urban setting because of the water in the background but is right beside downtown in case you want to hop over for a more alley, street, and brick feel.
Rocio and Edgar are getting married on April 23rd this year. They are planning a gorgeous wedding on a tight timeline, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together. I have a feeling it’s going to be one really fun day!
