When I first talked to Danielle & Tommy about doing engagement pictures, they weren’t totally sold. I think it was more Tommy really feeling like pictures were not his thing. It wasn’t two days later, and they ran into another photographer at a restaurant. It was Alison Cunningham with A&M Photography, who happens to be a good friend of mine. She started telling them what an engagement session can do for them. The next day they set a date for their engagement pictures and started browsing my blog for location ideas. It was when they came across another UT Gardens Engagement session of mine that Tommy saw the vintage truck and quickly decided that’s where their engagement pictures would be perfect.
Both Tommy and Danielle have daughters from past marriages. Listen to how crazy cool this is. Their daughters were born exactly 10 hours apart. Not in the same hospital or on the same day, but they look so much alike that people mistake them for twins. Even at our session, this woman interrupted us to ask if they were twins. To be step-sisters, they are adorably best friends. You’ll see for yourself as you scroll through.
This engagement session was a little unique. It’s not often that my engagement sessions have a mix of engagement photos and family photos. You’ll notice a combination of kids’ photos, family photos, and couple’s portraits, and I think all the adults involved were pleasantly surprised at how well the kids did with us!
