Urban Engagement Session

This couple. Where do I even start??? First of all, they are adorable. Second of all, I’m totally obsessed with their urban engagement session. Third of all, we have so much in common already. The day they get married, I actually already have two other weddings. Typically, I don’t take on a third wedding on one single day, but in this case, one of the weddings is a reschedule from 2020. So in the way these cookies crumbled (Bruce Almighty reference right there if you didn’t pick up on that 🤣), one was a regular 2021 booking, one was a reschedule from 2020, and then Jess and Joel’s wedding. I don’t make this decision lightly either. The experience I want to provide for my couples is important to me. If I don’t think it’s possible for another couple to get just as awesome of an experience on their wedding day as if they had reserved me first themselves, then I won’t take it on. But then I hopped on the discovery call where we get to really chat and see if we’re a good fit, and it was too good to be true. Not only was it like chatting with old friends I just met for the first time, but it’s also where I learned Joel is on the Spaces in the City team (whom I adore), Jess loves a good cocktail as much as I do, and they are going to have one heck of a wedding at The Press Room. I immediately confirmed I had an associate available and got them reserved because I mean, look at them. They are SUCH a fun couple, and their personalities matched perfectly with the associate I had available. Shout out to Quinn with Winx Photo who absolutely killed it at this session despite the below freezing temps with zero warm sunshine!

Also, I have to throw this out there. These two are clearly meant to be because they grew up on opposite sides of the country and met over their love for competitive clogging. There is even a shot in their engagement session on top of the 11th Street garage where they are clicking their heels, and they both have some serious hops.

I’m excited for you guys to get to see these two laughing and having fun during their urban engagement session. Even though they look like they aren’t freezing or all bundled up, it was a solid 28 degrees during their urban engagement session. In addition to some mad clogging skills, they are also pretty good actors because not once did I feel like they were completely frozen.
