I was walking the aisles in Target right before Christmas, because lets face it, that place is on every single girls’ Christmas to do list, when I spotted this amazingly adorable crocheted unicorn newborn hat. The day before, Whitley had told me that she was being induced even earlier than originally planned and now her sweet little miracle was coming just a couple days before Christmas. Which means that I had a newborn session for a baby girl that I could totally use that unicorn hat on, so in typical target fashion, I dropped it in my cart. Fast forward to a few days after Christmas and I smiled as Wrenley Walker sported her unicorn baby hat perfectly. Why share this? What does it have to do with anything? Well, when you describe something as being a unicorn, it means that person or thing is unique, special, one-of-a-kind. And this girl right here is every bit that description. Whitley and Brandon waited as patiently as humanly possible for their sweet miracle to join their family. They prayed, waited, prayed some more, cried, and waited longer… and then Wrenley Walker happened. Their unicorn. Their promise. Their one-of-a-kind miracle sent down from none other than Jesus Christ Himself. And you know what is even more significant about this? They came home on Christmas. The same day we celebrate God sending His unique, one-of-a-kind, unicorn (if you will) son to Earth to save us all. What beautiful symbolism this baby girl holds. I am completely and totally ecstatic to share these with you!
