A Cloudy Wedding at The Trillium

We kicked this holiday weekend off with a friday wedding for Jessica & Brett at The Trillium. What started out as a SUPER sunny day, ended up being very cloudy as storms rolled in. We even heard thunder throughout the day and watched lightning strike over some of the mountains. It was a really unique experience to see the storms happening in the view, but not actually experiencing them ourselves. Friday was a pretty steamy day, but once the clouds rolled in and a breeze came through, it was kind of the perfect fall temperature.

Jessica and Brett brought their entire guest list down from the New York/Rhode Island area and introduced them to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. As I chatted with various guests throughout the evening, most had never been here before. And they were all blown away by the view of the mountains at The Trillium wedding venue. I can’t even blame them. It’s seriously stunning. I kept hearing throughout the day how photos and videos don’t do it justice, and they are so right. As pretty as it is in these photos, there’s just no way to do it justice unless you are there with your own eyes.
