The Stables at Strawberry Creek Engagement Session
This is one of those venues that I’ve seen all over the place, but I haven’t actually gotten to shoot there myself until Brittney and Dusty hired me! Not only are they getting married here, but they also chose to have The Stables at Strawberry Creek engagement pictures taken as well. We didn’t know that we were going to end up doing their engagement photos there, but as we were discussing locations, it just began to make more and more sense. As I began shooting, I realized what all the hype was about. The colors and the textures this venue have are gooooorgeous in camera! It also has great rain options that we got to experience first hand since it sprinkled on and off at this The Stables at Strawberry Creek engagement session with Brittney & Dusty. The morning of their session, I texted Brittney to make sure she didn’t want to reschedule to a sunny day, but she and Dusty both took half days off of work to make this happen so there was no rescheduling! Instead, we embraced the droplets, took advantage of covered porches and large trees and praised Jesus when it stopped for a solid hour right in the middle of taking pictures. It also really worked out that Brittney and Dusty are super chill and were okay with embracing a little bit of rain :-).
I’m glad that we got to shoot their engagement photos here as well. I think we got to take advantage of spots that aren’t going to be as accessible on the wedding day. Like this patio area with the string lights that you will see at the beginning. I’m sure this location is going to be covered with workers and guests on the wedding day. And it was such a pretty spot! I’m super looking forward to their wedding next May. My May is CRAZY next year…I have 6 weddings, and 5 of them are at venues that I’ve never shot at. I LOOOOVE shooting at new places. I feel like it just stirs up all my creative juices!
