Sunset Engagement at Castleton Farms
I shot a wedding that guests were actually able to attend the weekend following Brittany and Michael’s sunset engagement session at Castleton. As I set up for the ceremony, I was reserved my seat to get the best photos of the groom when Brittany’s mom introduced herself. I looked up to find Brittany and Michael there as well, and what was even better is the wedding was also at Castleton Farms. They basically got a rundown of what their wedding day is going to be like a little less than a year from now. As we waited for the ceremony to start, we laughed and talked, and it felt just like I was catching up with a friend. And it felt that way because of their engagement session.
I had so much fun shooting their sunset engagement session at Castleton Farms. I don’t know how I’ve gotten so lucky these last few engagement sessions, but Michael (like Ian at Brooke & Ian’s engagement session) enjoyed taking photos. At the end, he looked at me and said, I just have to tell you… we are so glad that we chose you. We got your magazine in the mail and sat down and read it cover to cover and it has literally made us feel so much more comfortable with planning out the day. You are just so awesome and I couldn’t imagine having chosen anyone else! And in that exact moment, I just wanted to wrap my arms around both of their necks and bring them in for a group hug (but I didn’t because… covid 🙄). My heart was in a puddle, and I just can’t even explain how thankful I am for these two. There are no words to convey just how grateful I am, but there are emojis that get kind of close 😍🤗😘💕🥳️🥰️ .
