I had never shot during the sunrise hour at the fruit and berry patch before, but turns out, it’s one of the most gorgeous times to shoot there. Not only are the grounds completely empty, but the sun rises on the side of the mountains, so you get this beautiful golden color streaking through the sky AND the awesome mountains in the back ground. I met Emily, Britt and T at 8 am one crisp fall morning in October to get some photos of their family. Emily and Britt drove separately because they were leaving directly from the pictures to go to work. After we finished shooting at our first stop, I told them they were more than welcome to leave one car there and just ride together back into the fruit and berry patch a little further to get some more. Well turns out this was a terrible decision on my behalf. Apparently T loves riding in daddy’s car and when he gets to do it sitting on mommy’s lap (no judging because we were on a gravel driveway going 5 mph through the fruit and berry patch), he doesn’t want it to end for anything. So we get to the next spot, hop out, I get them into position and sweet T keeps saying “go bye bye… go bye bye… go bye bye” as he stares at the car. We tried EVERYTHING to distract him. Throwing him up in the air, swinging him up and down, getting the car out of site, walking around, throwing sticks and leaves and rocks, pealing bark off trees… nothing would work. He just wanted to be in the car. I felt so bad. So we ended up finishing a earlier than planned, but I’m excited because we still got lots of super cute pictures! Take a look for yourself below!
