Courtni and Jacob had their small wedding at Jacob’s family home, and then, their big wedding at Star Venues in London, KY. The small wedding was exactly how Jacob envisioned it. Red and black with lots of roses and jeans. The big wedding was exactly what Courtni wanted with blush and blue colors and all the guys in suits. This whole coronavirus thing really changed a lot for them, but they were able to turn that hiccup into two magnificent weddings that made both of their visions come to life.
There were really so many memorable moments at Courtni and Jake’s Star Venues wedding, but the one that sticks out the most for me was Courtni’s little 9 year old brother giving a toast at the reception. A couple weeks before the wedding he told Courtni he wanted to give a toast. Courtni agreed, but also assumed it wouldn’t actually happen, I mean, what 9 year old do you know that is brave enough to speak in a mic in front of 100+ people? He got some advice from his mom and dad, but ultimately, he wrote his own speech. It’s genuinely one of the best toasts I’ve ever heard at a reception. He was absolutely hilarious, but also really sweet and relevant. I have a feeling this little man is going to go into some type of leadership role because he sure knows how to own a stage.
When you get to the toast photos below of Jake wiping his eyes, a dad laughing, and Courtni squeezing up her little brother, those were all during his toast. It was just so stinking good.
The other most memorable part was the fireworks at the end of the night. I was expecting to have maybe 1-2 minutes to capture everything I needed. But, no. Star Venues put on a full show, and it was amazing. We probably had 10-15 minutes to get all of these GORGEOUS firework shots below. And this is only a few. I had to narrow it down because there were just so many good ones!
If you’re at a venue that allows fireworks, and you’re debating it, do it. You will not regret it!
