When couples want to have a Smoky Mountain Engagement Session it gets me so excited! There are only a few places in the United States that have access to mountain views like Knoxville does. I hear locals say things like whyyyyy would anyone vacation to Knoxville??? Insinuating that Knoxville isn’t cool and there’s nothing to do. But I think we, as native Knoxvillians, sometimes grow accustomed to seeing such beauty. Queue the phrase “stop and smell the roses”. This really hit home when Dustin and I traveled to Jackson Hole last month. We were in awe of their mountains. We talked so much about the houses that had views of their mountains and if the people who lived there got used to seeing such awesome scenery. Surely not! we would say in response… but how many of us do that to the Smokies? I think the answer is probably a lot more than we would like to admit. So I’m here to challenge you to “stop and smell the roses”. Try to intentionally seek out God’s beauty in nature this week and bask in it. Praise Him in it.
I had so much fun wondering around Townsend, TN with these two. They are having a destination wedding in the Smokies next year and I couldn’t be more excited. I love how giggly and googly eyed they are around each other. Some things just can’t be described accurately in words, and their love is one of them. Thank you Stephanie and Brandon for coming all the way down here and spending your entire Saturday morning with me hunting down bears and taking awesome pictures.
