Concord Park || Knoxville, TN Photographer || Hayes Family

Another reason why we love Shoreline.

This is the Hayes family. We met at Concord Park to take some family photos before the boys had baseball games one evening. Jason is the head pastor at the church Dustin and I attend (Shoreline Church), and we adore this family so much. You’ve seen them before on my blog, and I think last time I also got really emotional over how much I love this family. I just can’t help it. When you can see the light of Jesus bursting through, it’s hard not to adore them.

I know what you’re probably thinking, “Well, of course Jesus is shining through. He’s a pastor.” But it’s different. And the different way the Hayes family sees Christ is the different way Shoreline sees Christ, and it’s why Dustin and I still drive an hour every Sunday for church. We love being surrounded by people who are truly the hands and feet (and eyes and ears and mouth) of Jesus. They aren’t just southern Bible belters who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. It’s seriously incredible. If you are on the hunt for a new church family, look no further. I’ll meet you at the next 8:15am service. I won’t hug your neck or shake your hand because Corona, but know I am for you, there to pray with you, and want you to know THE Jesus that knows how many hairs are growing on your head.

P.S. If you were sitting on Northshore watching all of us balance on driftwood trying not to fall into the 6-inch deep mud, I hope you got a giggle or two from it and tipped your hat because we all made it 🙂
