Caroline and Jake met for the very first time at 5:00am when they both joined the same running group. The meeting place was at the big stone pillar in Sequoyah Hills. When they were contemplating where their engagement photos should be, it was only fitting that they chose Sequoyah Hills. Also fitting that we ended our session with them in jogging clothes stretching and taking a little jog down the trail and back. They also included their adorable pup, Espresso. It is my absolute favorite when couples emphasize specific attributes of their story in their engagement photos. A spot where they met, a spot where they go a lot, a spot that is sentimental to them. Or maybe it’s not the location, but it’s the first outfit they wore or a specific view they love. Maybe it’s an heirloom handkerchief as his pocket square or a locket around her neck. Things that define them help tell the story of their love from beginning to end. Caroline and Jake did this so well at their Sequoyah Hills engagement session. Rain or shine, they were going to make it work, and I’m excited to say the rain held off JUST for us. It got a little dark and misty at the end, but it made the street lamp glow even more dreamy.
There is no denying these two take really adorable photos. After about 10 minutes, I asked if they had professional photos taken before because it felt so very natural. Caroline said, “We haven’t. We’re just really affectionate.” That was the perfect way to sum up the two of them. Their affection for each other is undeniable, and you can feel it ooze out of each and every one of their Sequoyah Hills engagement photos!
