RiverView Family Farm Wedding
Here’s what I know about Chelsea and Daniel. They love the lake. They are so stinkin’ cool. They have a gorgeous daughter named Laiken. They thoroughly enjoy a good beer. They know how to have a great time. Even though I wasn’t physically there, I know they also throw a great party (because that’s what stinkin’ cool, beer-drinking people do). I should also mention that they are super photogenic! They got married on October 26th at RiverView Family Farm. Brittany Sidwell, an Amanda May Photos associate photographer, photographed their wedding while I was shooting a wedding at Arrington Vineyard in Nashville. Long before Chelsea and Daniel decided to use me as their photographer, I met Chelsea at the Hunter Valley Farm open house. She was pregnant with Laiken at the time and was SO fun to talk to. I think we both shut the event down chatting outside the front doors. She laughed when she told me she was engaged but was a little crazy trying to plan a wedding while also planning to welcome a baby. She didn’t know who she was going to use as her photographer, but she did have a date secured at RiverView Family Farm. After we parted ways, I hoped to hear from her because we hit it off so great. After Laiken arrived, I got her email and was so excited to be able to offer her my associate photographer option! I knew enough about them to know that Brittany would be the perfect fit for their wedding. Fast forward to the wedding day, and I get a message from Brittany saying how much she ADORED Chelsea and Daniel. After the wedding was over, they were headed to Roosters with the rest of their bridal party on a party bus and were begging Brittany to go with them. She wanted to so bad except she had just worked a 9/10 hour wedding day and was totally dead on her feet (like all of us photographers at the end of a long day!)
This is what I love about my couples. I actually don’t say yes to everyone that inquires with me. I get to know them a little bit, and then, I decide if we are the right fit. Whether it is an associate wedding or my own, I want my couples to love us so much that at the end of the day, they are inviting us onto their party bus to leave our camera behind and just go chill with the rest of their group because they feel so connected. This kind of relationship totally changes the quality of image I’m able to deliver to my couples. All of a sudden, instead of having a stranger with a camera in your face, it’s actually just a friend there to walk alongside you and snap a few pictures on the way. This wedding could not have gone any better, and I am so thrilled to be sharing more of it with you right now!
