Julia and Jacob got married on October 12th at Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Harriman, TN. I woke up that morning to get ready to go and decided to throw on a light cardigan. I was so hot from blow drying my hair and carrying all my heavy equipment around the house that when I went outside, the crisp weather felt great. Once I got to Pine Ridge Baptist Church and stepped out of my car, I quickly regretted wearing a dress with no tights, sandals, and only a light cardigan. We had our first official fall weather that day. It was glorious and unexpected, and I so wasn’t prepared. All that to say Julia has a knack for picking the best days. For her and Jacob’s engagement session, we met up in April at Baxter Gardens and had the most perfect spring weather. The flowers were in full bloom, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and it wasn’t SO hot and humid yet. Now, for their wedding day, not only was it fall temperatures, but the humidity was low, we had cloud coverage for our middle-of-the-day portraits, and the sunset gave gorgeous glowy pictures.
Julia and Jacob’s day was full of a ton of sentimental things. Julia’s grandmother made all the flower arrangements you see. The bouquets, the bouts, ceremony arrangements, reception centerpieces, unity candle, and so much more. Her grandfather made the full length mirror in the bridal suite that she first saw herself in her dress before we did their first look. Her sister made her big wooden sign with a W painted on it. Jacob’s dad married them in the church that Julia’s mom, Julia, and her sister all grew up in. Julia’s granny made a quilt for her and Jacob accompanied by the sweetest card with a precious bible verse written in it. This quilt sat on the front pew representing her granny since she had to stay home with Julia’s great grandfather. It seemed like everywhere I turned there was another meaningful item that came with a really sweet story. I love wedding days that are full of this love and care. I’m so thankful I was part of Julia and Jacob’s Pine Ridge Baptist Church wedding, and I am thrilled for you to see these sneak peeks that I think tell the story of the day best!
