I first met this couple last year when they vacationed in Gatlinburg for their anniversary. We took their 2015 anniversary pictures in Cades Cove and it was a blast. This year they told me that they were doing a “stay-cation” and working on building their very first North Carolina home for an entire week. Originally we had planned for me to come to North Carolina mid week, but when my husband’s company moved their retreat to that very same week, Maitland and Justin showed me so much grace and let me move it to the very last day of their stay-cation. It was a little bit of craziness trying to get American Airlines to actually get us home on time, but God knew exactly what He needed to do and we were able to make this session happen.
Dustin and I got home around 10 pm Saturday night and headed out for Maitland and Justin’s home around 3 on Sunday. The drive was gorgeous, especially once we got off the interstate. Pulling back onto the property that Maitland and Justin are building on was like heaven. They have the most AMAZING view and the sunset this particular evening was just stunning. These two are so perfect together. I would say that Justin is a man of few words, but when he looks at Maitland you can see straight to his heart. Maitland is just adorable. Her big smile that scrunches her nose and closes her eyes is my favorite. All Justin has to do is look at her the right way and she just starts giggling. I’m so excited for this couple to be building their little farm home back in the mountains of North Caroline. I know that it will be so perfect.
