When Nichols Heir began the building process, I watched their Instagram account closely. With every video they posted, I knew right away that it was going to be amazing. As inquiries began coming in with couples getting married there, I was getting more and more excited at the opportunity of getting to shoot there! As other photographers began sharing their images from the property, I was literally dreaming of how gorgeous this place is. But no matter what you see in a photo, no matter how wide your angle is, it is still hard to truly see it in it’s entirety without going yourself. And, guys. When I finally had the chance to go to this venue for Sarah and JT’s wedding, my jaw was on the ground the whole time. It is so pretty. Every single angle offers beautifully landscaped gardens and sidewalks and mountain views and wooded shade and impeccable architecture. The getting ready areas are stunning for both the bride and groom. The glass house, well, is just stunning. The Garden is flawlessly manicured with a spectacular view and a perfectly placed giant oak tree arched over the spot where you get married. All my expectations for this venue were high based on the photos and videos I saw of it online, but it still somehow exceeded my expectations when I got to be there in person. I’m not sure how, but it did.
One more note I think is important to touch on is that while the place is absolutely stunning at every turn, it’s the people that really take it over the top. I have adored the team they’ve created from the beginning, and it is a true reflection of the owners and their heart. They truly live out the idea that they want to make your wedding day as special as it should be. They are genuinely as excited for your day as you are. Everything is as perfect as possible to make all of your dreams come true. It’s not just another work day for them or just another wedding. It’s your wedding. They will be in the trenches for as long as they need to make sure you and your family feel as appreciated, elevated, and special as you actually are.
I don’t usually spend this much time talking about the venue, but I was just so blown away that I can’t help it. I’d also like to share a few little snippets about Sarah and JT. Here’s the thing. The first time I met Sarah and JT in person was 10 days before their wedding at their engagement photos. You can see those here. Sarah was going to change while JT parked the car, and she asked me to keep an eye out for him. Her exact words were, he’ll be the one smiling. He’s always smiling. And she wasn’t wrong! You rarely see JT not smiling. But what Sarah doesn’t realize is that she also smiles a lot. The candids that unfolded at this Nichols Heir wedding were plentiful because these two had a joyful smile on their face all day long, and I just couldn’t help but click click click away! I think more than anything, they just had the best time on their wedding day. It was so much fun. Like real, genuine, pure FUN.
So, thank you, guys, for hosting one amazing wedding, and thank you for bringing me to Nichols Heir for my very first time. I am completely and totally obsessed and smitten with all the images from your day!!
