Newborn Session with Liam
I was welcomed into the Ensworth home last week to photograph sweet little Liam’s newborn session. This baby, ya’ll. He was a complete and total angel. Even when they changed his clothes he didn’t make a peep. He was passed out sleeping for the entire thing, and even when their pup barked, he just would sleep right through it. It’s so easy for my ovaries to get tricked into wanting another baby ha. I come into this home, cuddle a perfect baby, see all their sweetness unfold in front of me, leave before things can get crazy, and am fooled into forgetting all the hard parts. Why is it that our bodies do this?? Our minds somehow have amnesia when it comes to the hard things of parenting while focusing on the really great things like their yawns and stretches and grunts and wiggles and rolls. OOOOh their rolls. And decorating a nursery. I loooooved decorating Grayson’s and Hazel’s nurseries. And Liam’s nursery…holy cow…so stinking cute.
Not all of my newborn sessions also hire me for baby’s first year, but the Ensworth family did. I am so totally stoked to see little Liam for his 6 months and 12 months sessions, too! He’s a big boy like Grayson was so I know how much fun it is going to be since he’ll likely be full on sitting by 6 months and probably walking by 12. It’s mind blowing how much progress happens to an infant in their first year of life. Total helplessness to complete walking domination for most babies in just a short 12 months. Crazy.
