Kentucky Newborn Session in a Beautiful Home

I photographed Whitney and Jordan’s wedding a few years ago at Hunter Valley Farm. When they came back to me for their baby’s first year package, I assumed they were back in Knoxville. But at their maternity session, I realized they are still in Richmond, Kentucky. The drive from their house to Knoxville is about 2.5 hours. I was blown away they planned to drive all the way down to Knoxville for their baby’s first year sessions. Then, I realized their newborn photos were at their house so I was making the trek to them for that one. My home newborn sessions are less expensive than my studio ones because I don’t have to pay to rent the studio in the home sessions. Leading up to this session, my calendar was so jam packed full, and I was feeling the pressure of my to do list. So, I messaged them asking if they could want to come down to the studio. Fortunately, they said no because being able to shoot in their beautiful home was seriously the highlight of my week. It was like I was in an HGTV home. I told Whitney if she ever decides to go into interior design, I’ll be her first customer when we find a property to build our own house on!
