Nashville || Percy Warner Park || Cali + Taylor After Session

I was so fortunate to have gotten to photograph Cali and Taylor’s wedding back in September! Cali decided last minute to change her bridal session to an after session and I think that it was an awesome decision. Don’t get me wrong, I love bridal sessions as well… but on their wedding day, it ended up raining all day long and we only had a short amount of time to get pictures of just her and Taylor before it started pouring again. This after session gave them SO much variety and so many more images of them as bride and groom.

We looked around at different places to try and find the right location for the moody, deep/rich color, that matched their style and the two spots we settled on I think were perfect. Percy Warner Park was the first location that we went to. If you are even remotely familiar with Nashville you’ve probably seen these beauties. They are gorgeous and completely swarmed with photographers and exercisers any given time of the day. In all the images that were taken from there, I edited out at least 3-10 different strangers in the back ground haha. But it was totally worth it. The second location was amazing because it was Cali’s family farm. Deep back in the woods between Cool Springs and Nolensville, Cali’s family owns a cattle farm. From the rolling field to the driveway completely framed in tall trees to the dried creek bed… it was all perfect. We got to test out some smoke bombs – which ended up being AMAZING. And at the end of the day, Cali and Taylor will print more of these photos to decorate their walls than they would have photos of just Cali. I’m so glad they ended up going with this option because it was freaking awesome.
