Marble Hall at Lakeshore Park and Bistro by the Tracks Wedding Day
Carsen and Bennett will never forget when Hurricane Helene hit because it was literally the entire week leading up to their wedding day. It started raining on Tuesday, and it basically didn’t stop until Saturday. The radar was all over the place, and as everyone checked it every hour, it gave us totally different readings. Meanwhile, the rain persisted, and the grass where the tented reception was supposed to be held right beside Marble Hall at Lakeshore Park got muddier and slushier. On Friday (yes, the day before the wedding), I got a call from the planners at Belle Âme Designs saying the reception venue had been changed. Instead of in a tent at Lakeshore, we were now going to be at Bistro by the Tracks in Bearden. Because of this shift, we had to rework the whole timeline just a mere 15 hours before the day began. It was worth it, however, because the tented area at Lakeshore was a muddy mess, and it would not have been good to have all their guests move around in that space. Instead, they drove just 5 minutes down the road to Bistro by the Tracks, and it was literally so stunning! I do not know how Belle Âme Designs pulled it off so seamlessly, but they did. It was perfect. Also, a big shout out to the florist Wither & Bloom Designs because they also had to change everything up, figure out a whole other set of logistics, and they killed it. I was literally blown away when I saw the room. I think you will be, too!
