Sunny Lighthouse Knoxville Wedding

On July 24th, the Amanda May Photos team served two couples. One was this wedding at Lighthouse Knoxville, and the other is the wedding I’ll share next at The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm. Both weddings consisted of different cultures and showed off some really fun traditions I don’t usually get to see. For Veronica and Hunter’s Lighthouse Knoxville wedding, the bride and groom did a tequila pour. This tradition consists of the bride and groom standing on chairs facing each other with an adult-sized gap between them. Their bridal parties line up, holds hands, and run through the gap with their mouths open to the sky while the bride and groom pour tequila in their mouths. They are running through the gap really fast so you can imagine how much tequila is going everywhere and how much laughter and fun they are having during this time. It was really cool to see a tradition from another culture.

I couldn’t write this blog post without saying a massive thank you to Alyssa Rachelle Photography and Alaina René Photography. These two professionals served Veronica and Hunter for me in the best way. Alyssa brought the cards back to my studio after the wedding that night, and I just happened to get home at the same time. We talked for an hour about our wedding days and how much fun they were. I would not have been able to serve this couple without both of them so they deserve a massive shoutout. They also own their own photography companies and are full-time so if you are in need of someone, check them out. You won’t be disappointed!

To Veronica and Hunter, thank you so much for trusting the AMP team with your wedding day. We had an absolute blast, and I have to say there were some BEAUTIFUL moments on your day that I’m so thankful we were there to capture. You guys are absolutely adorable together, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your new family!
