There are a lot of new faces around here so many of you probably don’t know I used to live in Nashville. I moved there right after grad school to become a public accountant while I grew Amanda May Photos. The Eversons are a family I got to know during my time in Nashville. They hired me for their family photos every year. Even after I moved to Knoxville, we always timed it so I could photograph their family while I was in town for a Nashville wedding. Then, they had their first sweet babe Ivy. I was unable to capture Ivy’s newborn session or their family photos the year following. I hated not being able to do this for them. Then, they got pregnant with baby number two, and the timing lined up almost too perfectly for me to be able shoot both their maternity photos and their lifestyle newborn session!
While we were in Alaska, Sarah had Annabeth. She texted me to tell me she had officially arrived and asked if she could get on my books for a lifestyle newborn session. Normally, I wouldn’t have been able to make it work this far into fall because of the insanity that fall makes my schedule into. Not even 10 days after Annabeth was born, however, I had a Friday wedding in Murfreesboro. I asked Sarah if she could make Friday morning work so I could shoot her photos before heading to the wedding. Her response to me was, “Amanda, we will literally make anything work.” I couldn’t believe the timing of it all. To get the sleepy shots, newborn sessions HAVE to be done within 7-10 days after birth. Not only was this in that timeframe, but it was a trip I was making anyways. Actually, it’s the only one I’m making this fall. Plus, it was one of the few weddings I didn’t have to get there early in the morning. I was blown away.
Thank you, Sarah and Aren, for trusting me with this sweet season. You guys are truly SUCH a beautiful family!
