So, I’ve shot at Lakeshore Park a couple of times. Both times, my GPS took me into the Lyon’s View Pike entrance. Going that way, the park seems much smaller than it is, and I’m realizing how naive I was to think it wasn’t huge. Everyone in Knoxville knows how gigantic that park is, but for some reason, I just didn’t. When I showed up to take the Clinton family’s pictures, I came in through the Northshore entrance and was able to see just how much bigger the park really is. There are WAY more locations to take photos than where I was at before. Also, it has a pretty great mountain/lake view from the very top of the park, but unfortunately, on this particular day it was freezing and very cloudy. So cloudy that we could not see the mountain/lake view at all. Even without that, the wooded areas, big flat fields, and colorful trees…it was great.
I just love this family. Sarah aka mom, was a professor of mine while I did my graduate work at UT. I can now confidently call her Sarah instead of Dr. Clinton…but it took awhile. She was my favorite professor by far because she was just so happy. Since then, she’s had two kiddos and moved to Maryville College. She and Shayne are so incredibly intelligent, and if there was ever any proof that intelligence is hereditary, it is with their family. You should hear Bryce and Claire talk. Let’s just say they are starting to plan for retirement now. Every time I shoot them, Sarah tells me another story that just completely blows my mind. How are they already thinking of these things?!?! But I love it! Hopefully, you can see their cute little personalities shine through all of these photos!
