Caitlin is a nurse, Cody is a truck driver, and they are expecting their first sweet babe. Caitlin might be the cutest little pregnant lady that I have ever seen, and it was an absolute pleasure photographing their Knoxville Botanical Gardens maternity session. She’s so tiny and truly just has a little basketball under her dress. She is 30 weeks along in these photos and while I was shooting her, I was 35 weeks along. We bonded over the uncomfortableness of the third trimester as we chatted about pregnancy pillows and epidurals. They are also having a little girl, and her name will be Lanie Grace (possibly a different spelling ha, we didn’t get that far in our conversation). Doing what Cody does means a lot of traveling… and by a lot, I mean 4/5 nights a week. He isn’t any more than 5 hours away at a given time, but it’s still scary to think that she may go into labor and have to drive herself to the hospital. My prayer for them is that this doesn’t happen. Going into labor for the first time is scary enough, even if you are a nurse, and just having your spouse with you is the greatest comfort. So hopefully, God willing, sweet Lanie will decide to join this world while daddy is close by.
Thank you so much, Caitlin and Cody, for letting me photograph your beautiful Knoxville Botanical Gardens maternity session. I cannot wait to see what little Lanie looks like and also hear about how the epidural wasn’t nearly as painful as what you were anticipating! 😉
