This past weekend I got to meet up with these two for their engagement session at Knoxville Botanical Gardens. They had come into town from Florida, and thankfully, the weather was more perfect than if we had picked it out ourselves. You may have seen this on my Instagram post, but this was my first shoot back from having my baby boy and my dad passing away. You could imagine the emotional roller coaster I’ve been on the past month, not to mention just the normal crazy hormones that come after you give birth. Normally my outlet is running. But when you have a baby, you’re not allowed to do any exercising for 6 weeks! So I have just been a walking stick of dynamite, waiting to explode into tears at the drop of hat. Until finally. I got to focus it into something. My camera. It felt so so good to join the real world again, camera in hand, creativity flowing, doing my thing. And God could not have given me a better couple to start back up with! These two are so full of life and joy. Chelsie kept saying, we are not a serious couple, as she would burst out in laughter, and the Lord knew this is exactly what my soul needed. We spent so much time laughing together. We got to really talk and get to know one another. And I got to document a phase of their relationship that will never happen again. This engaged phase that is so short in the grand scheme of things. I’m so very thankful for these two and cannot WAIT for their wedding in October!
