Knoxville Botanical Gardens || Downtown Knoxville || Andrea + Matt

Andrea and Matt are so sweet and so perfect together. They are so full of life and are so great at bringing the giggles and the cuddles! With all the cuteness going on, you’re going to get a little side tracked when you see one of their props. I’m not talking about the gold calligraphy or the ampersand… I’m talking about the WWE belt. Wait. Rewind. Read that again. WWE Belt. Yes, you read that correctly. As you begin browsing through Andrea and Matt’s engagement pictures, you are going to see them sporting one humongous WWE belt. This was more for Matt’s benefit than Andrea’s, but she was SUCH a champ for proudly rep-ing it with him. There is an awesome story behind it though… when Matt was growing up, him and his dad (like all boys and dads do) had a thing that they bonded over. Several things actually, but one of them was WWE wrestling. Don’t worry… Matt has always known that it’s fake (sorry to burst any of your bubbles out there), but still has loved to watch it ever since he was a boy. As Matt grew into adulthood, him and a group of his friends purchased this WWE Title belt online to serve as a trophy. Every tournament they make bets on who they think is going to win and the winner takes home the belt until the next tournament. It JUST so happened that Matt had won this belt during the previous tournament and had it in his possession for these engagement pictures. This is a big deal, so of course it had to make it’s presence known in a few engagement pictures. Ironically enough, the evening of this very same day, was the next tournament where the trophy/belt was going back up for grabs again. I love that these two were not afraid to make their engagement session totally their own. It’s not very often (actually never) that I get to photograph a WWE belt.

It was such an honor to get to be a part of Andrea and Matt’s engagement session. We met up in downtown Knoxville and then headed to Knoxville Botanical Gardens. They totally rocked it as models and I know that they’re wedding day images next spring are going to be AMAAAAZING!
