Island Homes Anniversary Session

Another opportunity to shoot a local photographer and it was just so good. I first met Khristy when I shot one of her family member’s weddings in Indiana. What are the chances right?? How in the world would I get a wedding in Indiana and meet a Knoxville photographer while I’m there. She specializes in newborns and babies and maternity and after I had Grayson, she did some super cute little pictures of him at his peek fatness and gosh… they are so stinking cute. The rolls reversed this time. Instead of her holding the camera, she was in front of my camera celebrating 12 years of marriage with her handsome hubby. When we were deciding on a location, she asked where I hadn’t been in awhile or somewhere new I wanted to go and after throwing out a couple options, she said, “You pick! Just send me an address and we’ll be there!”. So I got creative with it and we started in the Island Homes area at the park by the water. For the second half of their anniversary session, we headed not even a mile up the road and shot under this old underpass, against a couple of garage doors, and some really intense graffiti. What I loved so much about these spots is that they aren’t intuitive spots. They are not spots that you would think are epically beautiful spots when you drive by them, but I love them. I love these anniversary pictures and this couple is seriously one of the cutest couples on the planet. If you want to see what a really great marriage looks like? Look at theirs, because it’s shining beautifully!
