Island Home Airport Engagement Session

I love airplanes, I love traveling, and I think I was MEANT to photograph this couple for so many reasons. 1) Their names are Devin and Delaney. I have two sisters-in-law named Devin and Dylana (pronounced the same except “uh” at the end instead of “ee”). 2) I am JUST like Delaney in so many ways, and Dustin is JUST like Devin in so many ways. 3) Delaney lives in Nashville right now, which is where Dustin and I used to live. 4) Devin works at North Knox Siding and Windows where Dustin and I bought the siding and windows for our old house and the house we flipped. 5) The weekend before their engagement session, Devin was a groomsman in a wedding I shot. The list could keep going and going.

I send a “get-to-know-you” questionnaire to every single #AMPcouple. One of the questions asks for an interesting fact about each of them. Devin’s interesting fact is he has his pilot’s license. The second I read that, I was already hopping up and down as I crossed my fingers he would have access to a plane for their engagement pictures. Turns out not only does he have access, but he has a hanger with a plane in it at the Island Home Airport. It is super hard to get into the Island Home Airport, and it just so happens it’s the same airport we go to to watch airplanes on my dad’s birthday. So cool.

I just adore these photos and these two humans. They are the sweetest, and I am so excited to be sharing their Island Home Airport engagement photos with you tonight!
