Ummm…I love this in-home newborn session for so many more reasons than just that Edie was a literal angel baby and slept magically from start to finish. First, Lauren (mama) introduced me to a new side of Blount County that I have since fallen in love with. This littler area in Alcoa that is ADORABLE. She lives in a gorgeous, newly constructed home right beside Alcoa Middle School. I arrived earlier than anticipated so I drove around her neighborhood for a second, and it was just so sweet. From the community pool to the little park to all the people exercising out and about.
Second, is my newfound love for all the color. When I walked into Lauren’s house, I was literally like 😳 I. LOVE. THIS. She had big, bright, bold color everywhere. It was super mid-mod feel, but in color. I have spent the last 4 years loving the neutrals and the pastels. Everything I own and decorate with consists of neutrals and pastels, but Lauren sparked a love for some color and shew…it’s taking all I have to not redo our ENTIRE house. The only thing stopping me is it’s financially irresponsible 😂.
So, back to sweet little Edie. At one point in our session, as I was snuggling her sweet sweet babe, I looked up at Lauren and said after my last child, I’ve sworn off any other children, but now…holding your itty bitty Edie…I’m thinking there might be room for another in our house. Then, I went home to Hazel waking me up every single night since and resorted to my first opinion. But that’s Edie for you. Perfect little human, and I’m so so so thankful I was able to shoot her in-home newborn session.
