Hunter Valley Family Session
This is the second time I’ve gotten to work with the sweet Bishop family. These kiddos are just the CUTEST, and Kari and Rawley are so so so sweet. Last year, we shot at World’s Fair Site, and this year, we did a Hunter Valley family session! If you don’t know where Hunter Valley is, you probably do but just don’t realize it. If you’re at the intersection of Northshore and Ebenezer, it’s the huge pavilion and beach across the water. It’s a gem. Normally, they are serving couples on their wedding day and companies for their Christmas celebrations, but if you catch them right, you can also book a family session there. Boy, is it worth it!
I photographed the Bishop family’s session two days before we left for Alaska. At the end of the session, like I do at the end of every session, I set the expectations on when their photos would be done. I mentioned we were leaving for Alaska in two days, and it might be a little longer because of that. Instantly, Rawley’s face lit up. Going to Alaska has been on his bucket list for a long time. As it also had been on our bucket list for a long time. The more conversations I have with people, the more I find it’s on most people’s bucket list of places to visit, and I think it totally should be. You can get three TOTALLY different experiences from summer to fall to winter.
