On Natalie and Anthony’s wedding day, Natalie was getting ready with her mom in the bridal suite. Her dress was not a simple assembly. It had a corset in the back that her mom had to thread and tie off. The bustle had 10 anchor points, and it took a solid 30 minutes just to get into the dress. Just a couple weeks earlier, her mom had been in that exact bridal suite putting Natalie in her dress for the bridal session. As the getting dressed part of the wedding day unfolded, they both looked at me and told me how glad they were to do the bridal portraits. There was this sort of calm to getting her dressed because they had already done it once. They knew the dress fit well, they knew how tight the corset needed to be, they knew the train needed to stay bustled until right before she was ready to walk out, and it had a familiarity to it that made the moment more enjoyable on the wedding day. These two are planners. They are prepared for anything all the time. And for them, it was that much better to know beyond a shadow of a doubt exactly how that moment would unfold because they had just done it weeks prior for her Hunter Valley bridal session! This is just one of the many many many reasons why bridal sessions are amazing! I actually wrote a whole blog post about it if you want more! Just click HERE!
