Every single time Hazel wakes up in the middle of the night, I curse a little, and then, I swear off any more children in our future. It would be one thing if she couldn’t sleep through the night yet. For example, if she were an infant still. But she can, and she just doesn’t. I’ve done sleep training, I jam her full of food right before bed, and nothing. You know what happens when I go snuggle a sweet babe like Penelope at my in home newborn sessions though?? I drive back home thinking, “Well, maybe there is room for one more fresh human in our family.” I mean, seriously, Penelope was the best baby. She was so chill and relaxed. Then, I wake up again for the millionth time this year and am quickly back to nope. nope. nope. 😂
But for real. Penelope’s in home newborn session was amazing. Her nursery was one for the books. Also, the amount of real plants in the Schwartz home put my home to shame, and it also made me desperately need to go to Stanley’s like, yesterday. The problem is we are totally out of space 😂 So, there’s that.
I’m so thankful Caitlyn and Billy asked me to their house for their in home newborn session. I photographed their wedding at the Stables at Hunter Valley Farm (before it closed) a few years ago. It was stunning. The things I remember most were her ADORABLE nieces and her super awesome bouquet. When I say nieces, I mean, no nephews. at all. This family is chock full of femininity. The really great thing in that is there are plenty of hand-me-downs to go around! ha!
