Holston River Engagement Session
It is always so much fun for me getting to work with other creatives. Ashley is a hair dresser (I’m not sure if she does makeup for people, but her makeup looked fabulous at this session, so I’m going to go ahead and credit her for being a makeup artist, too), and Kevin is a graphic designer. This couple had 30 minutes for their Holston River engagement session, and when I showed up, there was this whole little setup that was adorable. They bought a vintage couch at a yard sale, collected some awesome vintage furniture from family members and friends, hauled it ALL out there in two trucks, and set it ALL up. All so I could show up and shoot for 30 minutes. Guys. That is a lot of work. Especially when you’re trying to look all cute for your engagement photos, and it’s June humidity in the southeast. When I pulled up, they were both just chillin’ on the couch and didn’t look the least bit sweaty. I was impressed. And also super grateful. In case I didn’t tell them before, thanks guys. Thank you for making this already awesome location even more awesome! Oh, and I just remembered, they did all this with a 60% chance of rain in the forecast. There was a chance all of this stuff was going to get drenched and nasty, and they would have to spend so many more terrible hours cleaning it all up for the wedding day. Thank the Lord Jesus above that it did not rain, and we actually had GORGEOUS sunlight with, as Ashley called it, a cotton candy sunset. Fabulous location choice Ashley and Kevin, I can’t wait for you to see all of your Holston River Engagement photos!!!!
