Daddy Photos at Highlight Studio
A few months before we had this session, someone asked Kevin to provide his favorite photo of him and the kids. As he started scrolling through his photos on his phone, he quickly realized that he didn’t have any recent good ones of him with the kiddos. This is where I came in. We scheduled something at Highlight Studio, and I have to say, I think they turned out SO good! My favorite ones are the photos showing off the kids’ personalities. Their funny faces, their crying faces, their big ole smiling faces.
During our session, little Ezra was literally a doll. He kept coming up and hugging me. When I was shooting his little sister, Eva, he would come over and ask to sit on my lap. At one point, he said, “Can I cuddle with you and you give me a hug?” I melted. Literally the sweetest, most precious little boy. Eva was also super friendly and gave lots of hugs but not as much as Ezra. I have a feeling these kiddos are going to love people well in their lives.
Huge shout out to Kevin though. We had an hour long session, which can sometimes be a long time for toddlers around Eva’s age. She did so well, but towards the end, she started to lose her cool. Instead of getting frustrated or short and snippy with her, Kevin was cool, calm, and collected. He let her have some space while we photographed him and Ezra. She would think she was ready to join us again, but then, she really wasn’t. It ended on such a chaotic note, which often leaves parents very discouraged with what I potentially captured. I think we captured SO SO much though, and I hope he is pleasantly surprised with these family photos at Highlight Studio!
