Friday Wedding at Marblegate Farm

This past weekend was another double header for the AMP team, and wow, did it go off without a hitch. First, a huge shout out to the Lord for making perfect fall weather on both days. It could not have been more perfect weather at this Friday wedding. Second, shout out to not only incredible couples but really phenomenal wedding parties + sweet families + the best vendor teams. I was chatting with someone on the phone today who asked, “How do you do it? Two days in a row all day long on both days. Late nights, early mornings, a bajillion steps.” Honestly, I think it’s just passion that carries me through. I LOVE what I do. I LOVE working with my couples and their friends and family. They are all amazing, and it’s such a privilege to photograph their wedding that it’s easy for me to push past the exhaustion to dig deep and find toddler-like energy to serve them on their wedding day. That’s not to say I didn’t yawn a couple times at the reception, but all in all, both days were a total success. It felt great getting to serve both of these couples!

On Drew and Cade’s day, I had a special connection. Their ring bearer’s mom is one of my dearest friends, turned editor for AMP, and also a client I get to photograph. So, not only did I get to do what I love on this day, but I also got to see a friend I don’t get to see often. I got to watch her little miracle man walk down the aisle and do a fist bump with Cade before sitting down. It was such a special day. Drew told me first thing in the morning that she’s not a super emotional person so I told her I am, and I would cry enough for the both of us, which is just what I did 😂 Not tears of sadness, but so much joy and praise to the Creator of the universe for bringing these specific people together in the way that He did and letting me be a part of that. Gosh. Such a privilege. Such a joy. This Friday wedding was one for the books.

There’s no doubt that Drew and Cade are so incredibly adorable together. You will instantly see it as you start scrolling through this blog post. Their smiles are so genuine and so big plastered across their faces all day. I can’t wait for you to see the whole story!
