Floral Newborn Session

This sweet newborn session was at my studio with little Sophie. I always ask parents to bring things that may be special to them. Blankets, hats, bows, stuffed animals, outfits, swaddles, etc. Sophie’s mama brought a floral blanket that I am completely obsessed with. I laid it over top of the cushion I shoot on and could not get enough. It was almost like a watercolor print, and it photographed so beautifully. Also, Sophie is a doll. She rocked it at her floral newborn session. She was so cuddly and sleepy and literally perfect. I couldn’t be more excited for this family as they embark on a brand new adventure. As I chatted with Kelly at the beginning of our session, I quickly realized this woman was made for this. She is embracing every single second and every single thing about being a new mama. Even when her husband is a training fireman/EMT and could only take off the day Sophie was born. It makes me have heart palpitations just thinking about doing the first two weeks of newborn life by myself, but Kelly was killing it. Plus, who can blame her for being obsessed with her little babe? Look how stinking cute she is!
