A Summer Sunset Family Session at Lakeshore Park

I have developed a new found love for Lakeshore Park. I’ve shot a couple engagement sessions there, but I haven’t photographed a family session there. Let me say, it did not disappoint. You’ve seen this family on my blog post before. This is the Perryman family. They are incredible. I get to photograph them at least once every year, and this year, we did their family session at Lakeshore Park. We attend the same church, and Darrin and Sheila run their own real estate group called The Perryman Group. They are incredible real estate agents and have a massive circle of great people they surround themselves with. We have done life group with them in the past, and I really love the way they lead their family. As successful as they are in real estate, they are even moreso humble and kind. They serve in the children’s ministry at our church almost every Sunday. But it’s not just Darrin and Sheila that serve. They also have their two high school boys with them that also serve in the 3 year old room. People sometimes say that a family that prays together stays together. I think the same can be true about a family that serves together. Practicing serving others is SUCH a great way to build great character in ourselves and in our children. In a world that often points us to do what we want, when we want, and in whatever way makes us most comfortable, serving others is the opposite. Seeing a need, putting your comforts aside to help meet that need, and doing so with a smile on your face is really something I think this world needs more of. And we aren’t going to be able to bring more by our words. We bring more servitude to the table with our actions. The Perrymans do this so well, and I’m so grateful for them in all they do at Shoreline, and also, in general in their lives.

I could gush all day long about these four sweet humans, but instead, I’ll let you look through this gorgeous family session at Lakeshore Park.
