Fall Marblegate Farm Engagement Session

We originally scheduled Kelsey and Chase’s engagement session for last month, but there was a high chance of rain that day. So, we decided to postpone, and I’m so glad we did because the weather at their actual fall Marblegate Farm engagement session was MAGICAL. The glow on Kelsey’s hair was literally stunning. Before you even ask, her blue floral dress came from Bella Bridesmaids. The other solid blue dress is from Dillard’s on clearance. Both of these dresses are really great engagement photo outfits!

I love shooting fall Marblegate Farm engagement sessions and weddings. The property is so gorgeous and just gets prettier and prettier with all of the fall colors. Kelsey and Chase get the best of two worlds though. They had the prettiness of fall at their engagement, and they will have the prettiness of spring for their wedding. You’ll notice with the photos below that I stuck to some of the further away spots for their engagement session. After shooting so many weddings at this property, I’ve just come to realize how incredibly difficult it is to get couples to these spots on their wedding day. The spots are far away and just take so much time to get to. Plus, they are best at sunset, which requires them to be gone from their reception for such a long time. So, I’ve pivoted and now do these areas at engagements and save the farmhouse and the pond for wedding days. The farmhouse and pond are right beside the grand hall and require little to no travel time. This way they get to take advantage of their entire property and have cohesive yet uniquely different engagement vs. wedding photos!
