Meads Quarry Photo Session

I have known Mariah since 2013 when she came to play volleyball with me at University of the Cumberlands. During our time there, I got to know Mariah so well and really got to see the heart of gold that she has. Blake did not go to school there, but still came and supported her often at our games. I didn’t get to know him that well until this engagement session though and I have to admit they are so perfect together. But lets rewind just a bit. Blake decided he was going to propose to Mariah at the lake where Mariah’s family goes to vacation every year. This lake just so happens to be in Rocky Top or better known as Lake City. I knew he was a smart man when the first conversation we had was about getting a photographer there to document his proposal. I SOOOOO wish that guys would do this more often… I think I speak for all girls when we say that it would make us so so happy! However, I was SO sad when I found out that it was going to happen during the time that Dustin and I were vacationing in London. So I referred one of my go-to girls that totally rocked it and prayed that they would consider me for their wedding photography. A few weeks later I got the email and I was so beyond excited. An absolutely gorgeous close friend from college marrying her handsome high school sweetheart in Ohio… yes yes and yes. To save a little, they decided to drive 6 hours down to Knoxville for their engagement session. From looking at my posts from the summer and fall, they chose Meads Quarry and Downtown Knoxville as their two locations and it was perfect. Meads Quarry had AMAZING sunlight coming through the trees that just made them completely glow. Then Mariah’s maroon shirt against the city backdrop totally popped and had gorgeous contrast.
